Age of Walls
My last dataviz analyses how 67 countries have erected fences or walls on their borders in the last years.
Last January 25, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, has signed an executive order to start the design of the wall on the border with Mexico, already promised in the election campaign. The aim would be to stop illegal immigration. But this isn't the only wall designed or built in the last years.

According to a study published in 2016 by the experts of the University of Quebec, Elizabeth Vallet, Zoe Barry and Josselyn Guillarmou, when the Berlin Wall was torn down, a quarter of a century ago, there were 16 fences around the world. Today there are even 63, affecting 67 states, completed or in the planning stage.
