During the fourth quarter of 2016, which ended in December, the italian gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.2%, with a slight slowdown compared to the previous semester. Comparing the data to the fourth quarter of last year, growth was 1.1%.
In the euro area GDP grew by 0.4%, while in the EU28 does record a 0.5% from the previous quarter. Over the same quarter the previous year, seasonally adjusted GDP increased by 1.7% instead of 1.8% in the euro area and the EU28.
